14:15 hrs The No.8 Team Peugeot Total Peugeot 908 entered the pits immediately after the safety car period began. After normal fueling of the car, it was rotated into the garage for service. The attention is focused at the rear of the car in the engine bay.

14:19 hrs. Pit lane reports indicate, unofficially, that the No.8 Team Peugeot Total Peugeot 908 has an engine compartment that is "full of oil". It is reported that there is a smell of engine oil in the air outside the opening of the garage.

14:38 hrs. Sebastien Bourdais has departed the pit lane and taken the No.8 Team Peugeot Total Peugeot 908 onto the track. The No.8 still holds a lead of four laps over the No.16 Pescarolo Sport Pescarolo Judd.

Audi splash and dash
14:34 hrs. With 24 minutes to go, the Audi Team showed their sense of humour. They have put out the pit board for the No. 1 Audi Sport North America Audi R10 TDI, telling the car to come for a ‘splash' of fuel! It came in two laps later. For a splash, as directed.
