Changes to the 2009 LMS calendar
The 1000 KM of the Nurburgring, originally scheduled on the 29th/30th of August, will now take place one week earlier, on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of August.

This small alteration of the calendar avoids a clash with the Belgian Grand Prix.

Race fans now have the possibility to attend two international motorsport events within two weeks as the Nurburgring as the Spa Francorchamps circuits are only 170 kilometres apart.

An additional test session will be organised on April 22/23, so that the teams can test their cars and drivers with less cost by bringing together a maximum of teams on the Bugatti circuit.
